Soccer Recap: Proviso East Comes Up Short

Proviso East lost against Wheeling back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. Proviso East have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Ashley Avila, who's now up to seven this season.

Proviso East's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Wheeling, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Proviso East will square off against Glenbard North at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Proviso East will be up against Glenbard North's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.8 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Wheeling, they will challenge Schaumburg at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
