Volleyball Recap: Hancock Comes Up Short

Hancock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Northern Garrett Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-10, 25-9.

Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Northern Garrett, they pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Hancock and Northern Garrett should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings. The Panthers (ranked 156th) will meet Turkeyfoot Valley Area (ranked 492nd) at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Northern Garrett will face off against Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (7 vs. 88).
