Basketball Game Preview: Fairfield Falcons vs. Johnson Warriors

The Fairfield Falcons will square off against the Johnson Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Fairfield will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 25 points on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Burbank on Friday. Fairfield took their matchup with ease, bagging a 66-26 win over Burbank. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnson). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Foothill 62-33. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Fairfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.2 points over those games. As for Johnson, their victory bumped their record up to 8-16.

Everything came up roses for Fairfield against Johnson in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 72-11 win. Will Fairfield repeat their success, or does Johnson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
