Volleyball Recap: South Gate Comes Up Short

South Gate lost against Legacy back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rams lost 3-0 to the Tigers. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While South Gate had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-18.

Legacy can attribute much of their success to Richard Pinto, who had eight digs and three aces. That's the most digs Pinto has posted since back in March.

South Gate's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Legacy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

South Gate didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against South East on the 10th. After both having extra time off, Legacy and Garfield will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
