Basketball Game Preview: Lanesboro Burros vs. Kingsland Knights

The Lanesboro Burros will venture away from home to challenge the Kingsland Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lanesboro is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Monday, Lanesboro came up short against Spring Grove/Mabel-Canton and fell 72-59. While losing is never fun, the Burros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Spring Grove/Mabel-Canton are ranked 110th).

Meanwhile, Kingsland ended up a good deal behind Southland on Saturday and lost 45-30.

Lanesboro now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Kingsland, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Lanesboro was able to grind out a solid victory over Kingsland when the teams last played on January 6th, winning 67-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lanesboro since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
