Volleyball Recap: Arroyo Valley Comes Up Short

Arroyo Valley suffered their biggest loss since September 2nd on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Kaiser Cats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Arroyo Valley still got an impressive performance from Alahna Sanchez, who had 17 digs and three assists. Sanchez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Arroyo Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for Kaiser, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Arroyo Valley has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Bloomington on the 16th. Kaiser has also already played their next match (against Patriot), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
