Palisades extended their winning streak to eight on Friday, bumping them up to 8-0. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 19-17 victory over the University Wildcats. The 19-point effort marked the Dolphins' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Palisades' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Demare Dezeurn led the charge by picking up 51 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also punching in one TD on the ground. Another receiver making a difference was Malachi Ross, who picked up 107 receiving yards and one score.

As for University, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with Palisades: they've now lost nine in a row.

When it comes to explaining why University lost, don't look at Kamari Jones. Despite the final result, he rushed for 102 yards and one touchdown. Jones really tore up the turf during one magnificent 83-yard run. William Biddle also helped out as he racked up 105 rushing yards.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Palisades is set to square off against their familiar foe Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Jack Thomas and Thaddeus II Breaux. Meanwhile, University will face off against rival Fairfax at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
