The home team had won the previous three meetings between Flat Rock and Bedford, and Flat Rock kept the tradition alive. The Rams won by a run and slipped past the Kicking Mules 3-2. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by just one run.

Vanessa Neace spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sarah Giroux was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Flat Rock now has a winning record of 11-10-1. As for Bedford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Flat Rock will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Kicking Mules: the pair will be back at it again later today.
