Basketball Recap: Mountain Mission Skates Past Varsity Opponent with Ease

After losing to Varsity Opponent the last time they met, Mountain Mission decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mountain Mission Challengers really took it to Varsity Opponent for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-38 victory. The Challengers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 30 points or more this season.

Mountain Mission got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Annah Chacha out in front who dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten boards. Chacha's big performance that evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Ella Rasnake was another key player, shooting 69% from the field to rack up 25 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists.

Mountain Mission was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They are 15-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

The victory made it two in a row for Mountain Mission and bumps their season record up to 16-4.

Mountain Mission has already played their next contest, a 51-49 defeat against Tri-Cities Christian on the 28th. As for Varsity Opponent, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 33-27 loss against Calumet Christian on the 28th.
