Football Recap: South Panola Triumphs

South Panola won the last time they faced Clarksdale and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 21-13. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Tyler Christon was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 94 yards and one score. Those 94 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

The win got South Panola back to even at 2-2. As for Clarksdale, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Panola will square off against Horn Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clarksdale, they will take on Gentry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
