Volleyball Recap: Truman Has No Trouble Against Ruskin

Truman not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 15th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Ruskin Golden Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.

Truman was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-11, 25-20.

Mia Stone paced Truman's offense, picking up eight kills. Stone really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with eight. Lillian Nolte controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Despite the loss, Ruskin still got an impressive performance from Breanna Noah, who had ten digs. Raven O'Riordan also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Truman's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Ruskin, they dropped their record down to 0-15 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Truman has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Oak Park on the 6th. As for Ruskin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Fort Osage on the 7th.
