Julian Saldana put up the most runs he's had since back in April of 2024 on Thursday. He scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He was dominant the last time he took on Gunderson last Tuesday, so they probably should've seen this coming. Saldana has become a key player for Mt. Pleasant: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Saldana and Mt. Pleasant will welcome Independence at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals got just the result they wanted when they last faced the 76ers thanks in part to Saldana: he scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.
