Rampart waltzed into their contest on Monday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Pine Creek Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

Rampart wouldn't go down easily and took Pine Creek into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18, 23-25, 22-25, 15-9.

Gabriella Melecio produced another solid effort getting 30 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellery Anderson, who had 12 digs.

Rampart's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Pine Creek, their loss ended an 11-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-5.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Rampart and Liberty will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Pine Creek, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Pueblo West on the 16th.
