Softball Recap: Chickasaw Takes a Loss

Chickasaw lost against Washington County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Chickasaw came up short against Washington County, falling 18-3. The Chieftains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chickasaw saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Roberts, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Roberts' first of the season.

Even though they lost, Chickasaw was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Chickasaw's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Washington County, their record now sits at 10-11.

Coming up, Chickasaw will head out to face off against Blacksher at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Washington County, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-4 loss against Leroy on the 28th.
