Basketball Recap: Bradford Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Bradford won the last time they faced Middleburg and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bradford Tornadoes walked away with a 52-43 win over the Middleburg Broncos. Given the Tornadoes' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Broncos are ranked 589th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bradford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Cason out in front who went 8 of 13 on his way to 19 points along with six boards and three steals. Cason is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last four games he's played. Maliki Cobarris was another key player, going 6 for 13 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

Despite the loss, Middleburg still got an impressive performance from Floyd Reed, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points. Kobe Garcia also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

The win (which was Bradford's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. As for Middleburg, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Bradford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-43 victory against Baldwin on the 10th. Middleburg has also already played their next game, a 71-44 win against Crescent City on the 10th.
