Softball Recap: Lakewood Takes a Loss

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-4 to the Arvada West Wildcats. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September.

NeVaeh Roybal was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Gallegos, who went 1-for-3 with a home run.

Lakewood's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Arvada West, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.

Lakewood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-8 win against Bear Creek on the 7th. Arvada West has also already played their next contest, an 8-7 defeat against Chatfield on the 7th.
