Basketball Recap: Glenbrook Takes a Loss

Glenbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 54-46 to the Converse Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-27 back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Glenbrook saw an underclassman step up: freshman Carson Powell dropped a double-double with 28 points and 12 boards. That was a full 60.9% of Glenbrook's points, marking the third time in a row Powell has posted more than a third of the team's points. Connor Bolton was another key player, putting up four points.

Even though they lost, Glenbrook smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Glenbrook's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Converse, their win bumped their record up to 9-37.

As of now, neither Glenbrook nor Converse have any future games scheduled.
