Basketball Recap: Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies were beaten by the Turtle Lake Lakers 76-43. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 366th in Minnesota, while the Lakers are ranked 160th in Wisconsin).

This is the second loss in a row for Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Turtle Lake, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] and Aitkin will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Turtle Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Colfax at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Turtle Lake's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
