Basketball Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Estero

Estero had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Amiya Lewis did her part to make it six on Wednesday. The Estero Wildcats took their contest with ease, bagging a 57-11 win over the Mariner Tritons thanks in part to Lewis, who went 9 of 17 on her way to 20 points and seven rebounds. The match was her seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Estero's record now sits at 10-1. As for Mariner, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Estero will square off against Palmetto Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mariner, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fort Myers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mariner is facing Fort Myers at the right time seeing as Fort Myers is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
