Soccer Game Preview: West Valley vs. Davis

The West Valley Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Davis Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

West Valley is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Sunnyside on Tuesday. The Rams fell 4-2 to the Grizzlies. West Valley haven't had much luck with Sunnyside recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Davis, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Pirates who were credited with the victory on Friday. Davis got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Sunnyside's three. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Davis now has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for West Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

West Valley couldn't quite get it done against Davis in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 2-0. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
