Softball Recap: Martin Takes a Loss

Martin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-0 to the Rio Grande City Rattlers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rattlers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-3 back in March.

Martin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexandria Soler, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. That hit was Soler's first of the season.

Martin's loss dropped their record down to 0-24. As for Rio Grande City, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-4.

Martin has already played their next contest, an 18-2 defeat against Nixon on the 8th. As for Rio Grande City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-2 victory against Juarez-Lincoln on the 8th.
