Windham won the last time they faced Bloomfield and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bombers put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 13-1 win. With that victory, the Bombers brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Lillian Pesa-Garrett looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Makenna Jones, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those triples marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Skylar Bailey, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

The win made it two in a row for Windham and bumps their season record up to 2-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Bloomfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cardinals beat Windham by a score of 5-4 later that day.
