            Volleyball Preview: Churubusco Eagles vs. Lakeland Lakers        
        
		
        
        
            The Churubusco Eagles will head out to  challenge the Lakeland Lakers  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Churubusco is coming into the  matchup on  a  three-game losing streak.
Churubusco lost  3-0 to West Noble on Thursday.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-9,  25-6.
 Despite the  defeat, Churubusco saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Alyssa Marks  had 12  digs and ten  assists.  Amira Wilson was another key player,  getting 11  digs.
Meanwhile, Lakeland suffered their biggest  loss since September 15th on Monday. They came up short against  NorthWood, falling  3-0. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Lakers in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost eight in a row.
 The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16,  25-11.
 Churubusco's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Lakeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.
 Churubusco skirted past Lakeland  3-2 in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
