Basketball Recap: Chandler Reid's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Beach over Calvary Day

Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 66-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calvary Day Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 83rd).

Beach lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Chandler Reid, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 14 points. Ke?Juan Ferguson was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Calvary Day, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beach will square off against Islands at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Beach is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.1 points per game this season. As for Calvary Day, they will face off against Long County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Calvary Day's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matchups.
