Football Recap: Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Central extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They took a blow against the Dodge County Indians, falling 46-8. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 430th, while the Indians are ranked 205th).

WyQuayvis Gaither threw for 64 yards and one TD. Justin Hodges was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Carlos Griffin rushed for 37 yards.

As for Dodge County, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 38.5 points this season.

Kain Mincey was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 192 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Terrance Fordham Jr also helped with two scores in total.

Looking ahead, Central will challenge East Laurens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dodge County, they will square off against Academy for Classical Education at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
