Soccer Game Preview: Giddings vs. Manor New Tech

The Giddings Buffaloes will venture away from home to challenge Manor New Tech at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Giddings sitting on three straight victories and Manor New Tech on five.

Giddings will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Taylor, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Giddings came out on top in a nail-biter against Taylor on Friday, sneaking past 3-2. Three seems to be a good number for the Buffaloes as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Manor New Tech kept a clean sheet against Caldwell on Friday. They put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 8-0 victory. Considering Manor New Tech has won eight games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Manor New Tech's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four contests. As for Giddings, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Giddings suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Manor New Tech in their previous meeting back in January. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Giddings was down 4-1.
