Basketball Game Preview: Denver West Cowboys vs. Alamosa Mean Moose

Having just played yesterday, the Denver West Cowboys will jump right back in to play the Alamosa Mean Moose at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Denver West saw some tournament action on Thursday. They managed a 28-22 win over Elizabeth. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cowboys.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Denver West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marilyn Vega, who posted two points in addition to ten boards and seven steals. Vega is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Alesha Munoz, who had eight points and six steals.

Meanwhile, Alamosa put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Middle Park 51-35.

Denver West now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Alamosa, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
