Football Preview: JSerra Catholic Lions vs. Servite Friars        
        
		
             JSerra Catholic has been on the road for two straight, but  on Friday they'll finally head home. They will welcome the Servite Friars  at 7:00  p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
 JSerra Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have all season. They blew past Damien 49-21 on the road  last Friday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 28  points or more this season.
 The match pitted two dominant  signal callers against one another in  Ryan Hopkins and  Isaiah Arriaza. Hopkins had a great game and threw for 163 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile,  Arriaza was balling out in the loss, throwing for 276 yards and three touchdowns.
 JSerra Catholic's defense made their presence known, laying out  Arriaza. five times. In that department,  Cruz Nunez was the leader with two sacks. Another thorn in Damien's side was  Madden Faraimo, who made ten total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging   an  interception.
 Meanwhile, Servite put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy  33-14 victory over St. Paul.
 It was another big night for  Quaid Carr, who rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns. Another rusher making a difference was  Gavin Gutierrez, who rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
 Servite wouldn't let St. Paul keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Servite can thank  Brando Mosqueda and  Kaleb Aiava for forcing both of them. Aiava also set a new season high mark in  total tackles with nine.
 JSerra Catholic pushed their record up to 5-0 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Servite, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-0.
 Everything came up roses for JSerra Catholic against Servite when the teams last played  back in October of 2023, as the  team secured  a  49-0 win. Will JSerra Catholic repeat their success,  or does  Servite have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
