Volleyball Recap: Covington Beats Germantown for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Covington came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Germantown Red Devils. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Red Devils, too.

Ava McCalla paced Covington's offense, picking up 15 kills. McCalla got some help from Caroline Cole and her 21 assists. McCalla also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kenleigh Jacobs, racking up three apiece.

Covington's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Germantown, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Covington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against White Station on the 23rd. As for Germantown, they will take on Cordova at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
