Softball Recap: Ayer Shirley Wins Going Away Against Bromfield

Ayer Shirley was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bromfield on Monday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 11-0 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Devon Perwak's shutout, as she gave up just three hits.

On the hitting side, Kelsey Peterson was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Lauren Reardon was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

Ayer Shirley's win bumped their record up to 7-11-1. As for Bromfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

As of now, neither Ayer Shirley nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
