Baseball Recap: St. Cloud Bulldogs vs. Harmony Longhorns
St. Cloud and Harmony squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but St. Cloud had to settle for second. They lost 8-2 to the Longhorns. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.
St. Cloud got a good showing from Rafael Martinez, who tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits.
On the hitting side, Jose Alvarado made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
St. Cloud's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Harmony, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-10.
