Basketball Game Preview: Sardis Lions vs. Boaz Pirates

Sardis and Boaz are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The Sardis Lions will host the Boaz Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sardis' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches.

Last Tuesday, Sardis humbled Crossville with a 74-6 victory. Sardis has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Boaz earned a 25-14 victory over Douglas on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Sardis is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.2 points. As for Boaz, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Things could have been worse for Sardis, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-34 loss to Boaz when the teams last played back in February. Can Sardis avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
