Basketball Recap: Calabasas Comes Up Short

If Calabasas was riding high fresh off their 89-49 takedown of Newbury Park last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Calabasas Coyotes lost 71-48 to the Oaks Christian Lions on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Lions are ranked 67th).

Calabasas' loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Oaks Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Calabasas will challenge Agoura at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oaks Christian has already played their next contest (against Westlake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
