Football Game Preview: Lincoln-Way West Warriors vs. Kenwood Broncos + Official Tickets

The Lincoln-Way West Warriors will take on the Kenwood Broncos at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Lincoln-Way West sitting on three straight wins and Kenwood on nine.

Lincoln-Way West is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They beat Lincoln Park by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 56-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Lions are ranked 252nd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kenwood). They blew past Prosser, posting a 62-6 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Lincoln-Way West better keep an eye on Kenyonte Louis. He was instrumental in Kenwood's win, throwing for 162 yards and five touchdowns on perfect 10-for-10 passing. The dominant performance also gave Louis a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Lawrence Carr was another key player, picking up 37 receiving yards and three scores.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Kenwood proved: they limited Prosser to a paltry 3.3 yards per carry. The Broncos didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.7.

Lincoln-Way West's record now sits at 10-1. As for Kenwood, their record is now 9-1.
