Soccer Recap: Proviso East Takes a Loss

Proviso East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Elgin Maroons, falling 9-0. One thing that didn't help Proviso East's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Alondra Casarez.

Proviso East's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Elgin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-1-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Proviso East will host Willowbrook at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elgin, they will welcome Bartlett at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
