Soccer Recap: La Joya Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 3-3 at halftime, La Joya was not quite Edinburg's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Edinburg Bobcats by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in February.

La Joya has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. Edinburg's win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Joya will head out to square off against Edinburg North at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edinburg, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Edinburg face off against the Weslaco at 7:30 p.m. on March 7th.
