Football Game Preview: Daphne Trojans vs. Bryant Hurricanes + How To Watch

Daphne has gone a perfect 5-0 against Bryant recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Trojans will look to defend their home field against the Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Daphne's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six games.

Daphne is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Davidson to the tune of 50-20 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won seven in a row.

Daphne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christian Segar led the charge by throwing for 340 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Segar is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last five games he's played. Daphne's leading receiver CJ Gardner was Segar's top target yet again, picking up 112 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Daphne's defense and their eight sacks. Dominic Truong Pham was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three himself. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine. Another thorn in Davidson's side was Jaysean Willis, who picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Bryant had to suffer through a 42-8 loss at the hands of Mary G. Montgomery. The Hurricanes have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Daphne's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Bryant, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Daphne was able to grind out a solid victory over Bryant in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 27-16. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hurricanes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
