Everything went their way against the Waskom Wildcats on Friday as the Honey Grove Warriors made off with a 54-29 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors who have now won ten matches in a row.
Ryelan Morris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 333 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
Honey Grove wouldn't let Waskom keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Honey Grove can thank Brady Banker and Kendal Wolfe for forcing both of them. Wolfe is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last five games he's played. Mason Banker was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making 11 total tackles, and defending two passes.
Honey Grove was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 509 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Honey Grove pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.9 points. As for Waskom, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 10-3 record.
