Moore Catholic was sadly handed a defeat on Thursday, but JOHNNY FARERI did his best to prevent it. Despite the loss, FARERI was still locked in as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

Coming up, FARERI and Moore Catholic will take on New Dorp at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sadly, FARERI's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Mavericks' seven-game streak of wins at home.
