Recap: Tuscarora Titans vs. Oakdale
The Tuscarora Titans lost against Oakdale on January 10th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Tuscarora took a serious blow against Oakdale, falling 65-26. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tuscarora in their matchups with Oakdale: they've now lost seven in a row.
Loss or not, Tuscarora got some senior leadership from Laney Barton and Skylar Davis. Barton scored eight points, while Davis. scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Tuscarora struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Tuscarora's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Oakdale, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
Tuscarora will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Frederick at 7:00 p.m. Frederick knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Tuscarora likes a good challenge. Oakdale will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against North Hagerstown on January 30th. North Hagerstown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Oakdale is ranked 64th).
