Washington proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 21) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Metro Tech Knights 17-16. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Knights back in March, they had to take a 23-8 defeat.

Washington's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10. As for Metro Tech, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Coming up, Washington will head out to take on Sierra Linda at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.09 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Metro Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McClintock at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
