Softball Game Preview: T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets vs. J.L. Mann Patriots

The T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets will head out to face off against the J.L. Mann Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. T.L. Hanna is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

T.L. Hanna was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Pendleton on Monday. The Yellow Jackets put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 9-2 win. Considering the Yellow Jackets have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Emma Williams 2027 was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, T.L. Hanna got a big performance out of Kendall Coakley 2029, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Izzy Webb 2028 was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

T.L. Hanna kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, J.L. Mann was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 9-0 to Hillcrest.

T.L. Hanna has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for J.L. Mann, their loss dropped their record down to 0-17.

T.L. Hanna took their win against J.L. Mann in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 13-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellow Jackets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
