Basketball Game Preview: Classical Academy Caimans vs. Pacific Ridge Firebirds

Classical Academy is 0-4 against Pacific Ridge since December of 2014 but things could change on Friday. The Classical Academy Caimans just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Pacific Ridge Firebirds at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Classical Academy didn't have quite enough to beat San Diego Jewish Academy and fell 50-48.

Despite their loss, Classical Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Joseph Lanzone, who posted 14 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Issac Chapman, who put up 13 points.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Pacific Ridge against Escondido Adventist Academy on Tuesday as the squad secured a 61-27 victory. The Firebirds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Pacific Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 24-2.
