Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Central

Central extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 7-1. They enjoyed a cozy 32-18 victory over the Jensen Beach Falcons. For the Cobras, this counts as revenge for the 26-7 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

AJ Hill was nothing short of spectacular: he picked up 181 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. Those 181 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Central proved: they limited Jensen Beach to a paltry 1.1 yards per carry. While five picked up at least two total tackles, Von Adams stood above the rest. He made two total tackles. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Central; they were averaging 5.8yards per carry per game earlier this season, but in their last three games they've fallen to only 5.1 per game.

Central's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. Nyheim Garcon was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Having lost for the first time this season, Jensen Beach fell to 7-1. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this contest were averaging 10.13 points allowed.

Although Jensen Beach took the loss, they still got scores from Jalen Webley and Sylvester Brinkley.

Central and Jensen Beach should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Cobras will take on Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (72 vs. 286). Meanwhile, Jensen Beach (ranked 106th) will meet Okeechobee (ranked 445th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
