Baseball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Kenowa Hills' Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Kenowa Hills won the last time they faced Covenant Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Knights were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Chargers. Considering the Knights have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kenowa Hills got a big performance out of Alex Menzel, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave Menzel a new career-high. Chastyn Cole was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Kenowa Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Covenant Christian only posted an OBP of .233.

Kenowa Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Covenant Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenowa Hills will venture away from home to take on Lowell at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Covenant Christian, they will take on Hopkins at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
