Recap: Valley Forge Patriots vs. Elyria Pioneers
This season hasn't been kind to the Valley Forge Patriots, who are still winless after their fourth match. They fell 50-37 to Elyria on Monday. Valley Forge has not had much luck with Elyria recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Valley Forge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kallie Yeager, who scored 8 points. Another player making a difference was Cloe Rzeczycki, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds.
Valley Forge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Elyria, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Valley Forge will head out on the road to face off against Buckeye at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Buckeye comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Elyria, they will be playing at home against North Olmsted at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
