Garland's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wylie Pirates, sneaking past 2-1. This was payback for the Owls, who suffered a 3-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Colton Dunbar and Kenny Sepulveda scored both of Garland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Garland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5-2 record this season. As for Wylie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2-5.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lakeview Centennial the next time they take the pitch. Garland will host Lakeview Centennial at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Wylie will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
