Soccer Recap: Mount Miguel Comes Up Short

Mount Miguel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mira Mesa Marauders. The Matadors were probably out for revenge after losing 4-1 to them when the teams met back in December of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mount Miguel's loss dropped their record down to 3-5-2. As for Mira Mesa, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Miguel will host El Cajon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. El Cajon Valley's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Mira Mesa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Canyon Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
