 Fairview and Horizon are an even 4-4 against one another  since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Fairview Knights will head out on the road to  square off against  the Horizon Hawks at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
 While Fairview couldn't quite beat Ralston Valley on Saturday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 11-point  defeat they were dealt  on Thursday. Fairview fell just short of Ralston Valley by a score of  8-6. It was the first time  this season that Fairview let down their fans at home.
 Fairview got a good showing from  Liam Goetz, who   pitched 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (he also didn't allow any  walks). Goetz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits every time he's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  Jack Espiritu-Niswonger made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Leo Muth, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Horizon can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Thursday. They put the hurt on Legacy with a sharp  13-1 win.
  Robert Whitaker made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits. Whitaker was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  Carter Wilson and  Parker Aaron did most of the damage at the plate:  Wilson  scored a  run while going 3-for-4, while  Aaron  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-2.  Maxton Sosa was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Fairview now  has a losing record at 4-5. As for Horizon, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record  this season.
 Fairview might still be hurting after the  11-5 loss they got from Horizon  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023. Thankfully for Fairview,  Nick Lay (who  fired off two  home runs, three  runs,  and three  RBI while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances) won't be suiting up this time.
