Baseball Recap: Farmersville Comes Up Short

Farmersville suffered their biggest loss since March 8th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Coalinga Horned Toads, falling 15-6. The Aztecs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Horned Toads from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Farmersville has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Coalinga, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Farmersville will take on Wonderful College Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Coalinga, they have already played their next game, a 14-0 loss against Corcoran on the 16th.
